What Comes in a Press-On Nail Set? A Checklist of Details to Confirm

A set of press-on nails might contain just the artificial nails—or it might include adhesive, a small file, a prep wipe and other extras. The words “24-piece set,” “kit” and “assortment” do not reliably tell you which supplies are in the box. Check the contents for the exact color, shape and pack option you are considering before you build your application routine around it.

Use this as a contents checklist rather than a promise about any particular brand. For a broader guide to shopping details such as price, size and variations, see how to read a press-on product listing.

Start with the number of artificial nails

Find out whether “pieces” counts the individual artificial nails, accessories, or a bundled mixture of both. If the listing says 24 nails, it describes the number of nail pieces—not 24 complete manicures or necessarily two full ten-finger wears. A mixed-size package may contain extras for several finger widths; you still need to know whether the sizes that you need are represented.

This matters even more with larger assortments. The Eazie Nails catalog currently previews 24-piece Pearl and 144-piece Shimmer examples. The bigger number is a format description, not a verified number of wearable manicures. Without the size distribution, avoid dividing the count by ten and treating the result as a wear guarantee.

What to look for, and what not to assume from a photo
ItemWhy it mattersWhat to confirm
Artificial nail piecesShape, length, color and the pieces you will fit to each finger.Number of nails, sizes or size range, exact selected variation.
Adhesive tabsAn attachment option for press-ons designed to use tabs.Whether included, their quantity, and intended use and removal instructions.
Nail glueAnother attachment method with its own application and removal precautions.Whether included, product identity, ingredients/warnings and instructions.
Pre-applied adhesiveSome nails arrive with adhesive already attached.Whether that is actually the design; do not add another adhesive system automatically.
Nail file or bufferMay be used in product-specific preparation or minor fit adjustments.Whether supplied and which use is recommended; do not aggressively file natural nails.
Prep wipe or cleanserMay be called for in the manufacturer’s preparation steps.Whether provided and whether it is the type required by the adhesive directions.
Manicure stickMay help with gentle preparation or positioning, depending on the instructions.Whether included and how it should be used without injuring skin.
Removal materialsSafe removal varies with adhesive choice.Whether anything is included, and the exact recommended removal process.
UV/LED lampOnly relevant to compatible light-cured gel systems.Never assume a lamp or gel is included or that an opaque press-on is suitable for curing gel underneath.

Adhesive is the most important missing-item check

Do not infer that a tube in a styled photograph comes with the nails. Some sellers photograph glue or tabs as props, some sell them separately, and some use pre-applied adhesive. Read the contents line and application directions together.

If the listing is silent about the intended attachment system, ask for clarification before ordering. Adhesive tabs, conventional nail glue and light-cured gel are not interchangeable. Our tabs versus glue comparison explains common practical differences.

Light-cured gel needs additional caution. Opaque or heavily decorated nails may block light from reaching gel adhesive beneath the tip. Do not assume an included mini lamp makes every finished press-on suitable for gel application. See why tip opacity matters for gel adhesive and Product Safety & Use.

Compare a nail-only set with a starter bundle

A nail-only set can be a sensible choice when you already have compatible application supplies. A starter bundle may be more convenient if it clearly includes what your chosen nails require. The key is to compare usable contents rather than counting accessories you do not need.

For example, one bundle may include more nail pieces but no adhesive; another may have fewer nail pieces plus a preparation wipe and tabs. Neither is automatically better. Write down the separate supplies you would need for the exact method in the instructions before comparing totals.

Check the size distribution, not just the headline count

Even an attractive set with many pieces may lack the width or curvature that works for one or more fingers. Ask whether there is a numbered size chart, measured widths in millimeters, a trial fit process or a way to select sizes. A thumbnail photograph or “small/medium/large” label does not necessarily tell you enough.

Our Find Your Fit worksheet can help record ten-finger measurements and product-specific size notes. Use your own recorded measurements together with the manufacturer’s chart; numbers are not guaranteed to transfer across different brands or styles.

Three common listing situations

The gallery shows several designs

Confirm which color and shape is selected in the variation menu and whether the count differs by option. Do not assume the entire gallery is shipped in one order.

The photograph shows a manicure tool beside the nails

Look for an explicit included-items list. If the tool is absent from that list, do not count on receiving it.

The page advertises a “complete kit”

Check the complete kit against the intended application and removal instructions. A marketing phrase cannot confirm the identity, quality or compatibility of an adhesive, lamp or preparation product.

The FDA’s nail-care guidance emphasizes reading labels and following warnings; do not substitute a generic internet routine for the product’s own directions.

What to do if information is missing

Save the product title or listing URL and ask the seller exactly which items the selected option contains. The Eazie Nails shop currently shows Coming Soon product previews with checkout disabled, so the most useful next step is to compare details, read the FAQs or contact Eazie Nails with a specific product question.
